I am overwhelmed by the practice of culture. It is more than a set of rules and ceremonies because it encroaches into humanity as well. It is true that in any group the survival of the society is more important than the survival of the individual. Culture is both the main weapon and reason for this framework. It has practically taken the "human" out of us. Some say the bible was created as a means of control by higher powers, but what then do they call culture? It dictates what's right and wrong, from abortion, drinking, circumcision, infidelity, marriage, divortion, religion, wars, and even death. Is Culture a primitive load our race is still carries on its already full cargo space? In America there is very little culture, is this the beginning of what's to come ?

It's an obscure form of self-loathing. Society loathes its human aspects. We fear becoming like the ants, but in our obsession with efficiency, that's exactly what we're becoming.

After all, it's not the principles of right and wrong that shatter inappropriate traditional standards, but the desire for efficiency. Humanity will become one when it becomes too inefficient to be unique.

Please elaborate more on your notion of the pursuit of efficiency if you can. Thanks

There's plenty of culture, all you need to do is find where to look. Museums, libraries, schools, concerts, philharmonics, poetry readings, book clubs, and on and on.It just depends what you consider culture for not everyone thinks the same ways about it.
