The first 3 episodes of the animatrix were released a few days ago and you guys should really check them out. For those who don't know what the animatrix is: it's a collection of animes based on the The Matrix universe. They kinda build upon where the movie left off with different storylines and different characters. For example the first episode, The second Renassaince - part 1, show how the whole A.I taking over humanity started in the first place. The second episode, "Program", is a anime that shows a person inside a simulation program fighting another character thats trying to persuade her to go back to the matrix with him. The third one is called "a detective story", in this anime a detective is looking for the hacker called Trinity. All these were directed by famous anime directors from Japan and you can tell. The detective is very reminiscient of the style of Cowboy Bebop. The Program has the trademark style of Aeon Flux and i don't exactly know who directed The second renassiance.

Do you even have to ask that question?????? The dvd will be out june 3rd but you can check out 3 of the 9 matrix anime right now......NOWWWWW.

I saw the Animatrix. The graphics were really good. The first one that I saw, especially, which seemed to be the prelude to "The Matrix" movie, was excellent and so was the second movie. The last one, which reminded me of "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" with unrealistic jumps and fight sequences was a little too ridiculous to bare. But don't mind me. I'm just a fussy critic.

are you talking about "Program"....i loved that one:( ...well the jumps and out rageous stunts are explained through them being in a program where their mind is the only limit.

The detective story is also quite nice..

Sorry...that one called "the filght of Osiris" is theater only but you might try finding it on kazaa.....the other three are avaliable to view on the net Here (http://www.theanimatrix.com)

All nine of them come out on DVD..i believe on June 9th...enjoy;)

The flight of Osiris will not be included on the DVD is their a law against this sort of crime? I was hoping it would be included on that DVD relesed on June 9th.

so "The Final Flight of the Osiris" is not on the DVD? What kind of crap is that. Anyone know when it is going to come out or a definitive place I could download it? I'm searched IRC, kazaa, and emule for ages looking for that darned thing, with no result.

Hi..i suggest you read the whole thread again...it will be on the dvd. It is on Kazaa but the dvd quality one is only avaliable in the larger file size because all 9 are on that file also.;)..i have seen it in crisp quality.
