Centralization makes for government less adapted to local needs. When the locality is different enough from the area where central government is located, the central government becomes a tyrant. Texas has always been independent-minded, and we don't normally agree with the politics of Washington. Localized government would help us do what is appropriate for our citizens. It would reduce the waste of vast bureaucracies, and let us tailor the laws to exactly what we need, eliminating fat. Further, we could develop our local economic and we would no longer be accountable for the political blunders of America, the bureaucratic entity. Texas, Secede! We'll do it our own way, as we always have, with less cost and more reasonable government for our citizens. The centralized American government has gone too far, politically, and has gotten too big and too bureaucratic to handle our needs. We'll do it ourselves. Spread the word that Texas must be a free Nation again!

Then, Texas and the US ally and help the rest of the allied powers (Nova Roma Imperium, Republik des Deutschen Reich, Sweden, Spain, and Great Britain) put the smackdown on Nazi France. ...
The federal government has gone to far? I'll agree with that, but do note that it was a Texan that bought it there! Do you really know what you're asking for? The rest of the 49 states would likely be happy to be rid of Texas (well, all the ones that count at any rate) but you really need the rest of us to hold you back. Wellyou have to buy almost everything from outside your state and you have to drive outside your state from time to time. Would you rather pay the other states that you have to buy things from duty fees or import fees? The roads leading out and into another state would have a toll for you to pay as well as seeing your passport. All that just to have it your way? The Federal Government should step in and do something about Texas' public education system (dead last in the nation! woo woo!) so that it's citizens can wake up and realize what helpless pussy cats they are. Then again the endless boasting and posturing might just be some sort of essential regional character flaw quite separate from quality of education. At any rate it couldn't hurt to try.
