How afraid should we be of terrorists using WMD's? I've read reports indicating that they can or already have gotten their hands on multiple Soviet-era suitcase nukes, and that they can get even larger ones if they wanted.
So how worried should we be? I mean, can we trust the intelligence community to protect us?

Depends on where you live. If in rural Kansas, a tornado is a bigger danger for you.
You also have to realize that there are no guarantees in life. The other day a small plane chrased into a home killing 4 people. It could happen in rural Kansas too. On the other hand living close to national landmarks, citycenters, etc. can improve your chance of being hurt by a future attack.
I say worry more about the economy, not the attack. But just in case, keep ductape handy...

If you drive or are a passenger in a car regularly
that's a more dangerous portion of your life.
If you are a man over 35, check your diet?
And so on.

You should be more afraid of your own government handing terrorists WMDs.
Seen 24 ? Yeah, like that.
An eye on your government prevents terrorism from becoming a serious threat.

Another thing to keep in mind, Oklahoma City:
1. It was in a rather "rural" area.
2. It was domestic, not foreigner.
3. It was done by fertilizer, not WMD.
Just so you can worry about other things too...
