Terror kits returned to sender
By Nikki Todd
February 14, 2003
THOUSANDS of people are believed to have heeded a call to "return to sender" the Federal Government's terror information kit.
The package, part of a $20 million public information campaign, contains a booklet providing information on security and a fridge magnet with a security hotline number.
It is being delivered by Australia Post to eight million households across Australia, with the process expected to be completed by today.
Brisbane Lord Mayor Jim Soorley last week called for people to return the kit, describing it as propaganda, scaremongering and a waste of taxpayers' money.
seems to me that a) this was a wast of public funds that could have been spent on the health system or put into intle if we HAVE to spend it on the "war against terror"
b) a very blantent atempt to incite a war footing from the public
my little sister was going to burn ours and put it in an envolope to send back
