Is it possible to terraform a planet, considering that it is already not earthlike? What is the possibility of finding another earthlike planet, or one that could be teraformed? :m:

to do that wouldnt it have to be a similar wieght to earth so that liquid water COULD form

then you atificially add CO2 and O2, and water

We've found earth-sized planets, but none like earth

Terraforming would be difficult, due to the massive quantities of gas involved, and it would take generations for such an artificial change to occur.

There are ane enormous amount of remaining questions about the features and behavior of terrestrial planets and there are the misunderstood features of Earth like those that hotly debated here

Even if we had the technology and the power, we would fail, doing everything wrong, since we even don't know how Earth works.

That would make sense, because undoubtedly we would end up with either all oceans or all desert, knowing how humans work. Then trillions of dollars and resources would be spent trying to fix what we messed up, and in the end, we would discover that some other alien race already knew what was going on, and claimed it as their own. :m:

Well, since so many vehemently deny humans could possibly affect the global climate, what makes people think we could terraform a place without an atmosphere?
