I just saw this today, and I have to say it was almost every bit as much of a self referential blatant fan masturbating peice of crap that I thought it would be. It was actualy a little less of that than I expected it might be. But I kinda had a problem with it.
*SPOILER*
Ok, you remember how it ends, John conner and his ladylove in the fallout shelter while the nuclear war begins, all bummed out because they had been tricked and found no skynet to destroy. John Conner comments that it must have been do to the manipulating on the part of the terminator, who's mission was to see him to his destiny of surviving the war, not stoping it. I have one problem with this ending. That being that, John's lady love's father is the one who told them where skynet was supposed to be NOT the terminator!
Now, i know its easily explained away if you think "Well the father knew skynet could not be stopped, so he sent them there to save his daughter" My problems with this explaination are manyfold. 1. Earlyer in the movie (moments earlyer) he seemed to genuinely think skynet could be stopped, and want to stop it 2. Its not fair for the movie makers to make you write thier movie for them. If it was the fathers doing then have the characters recognize it as such instead of saying it was the terminator who did, because it couldnt possibly have been.

Anyway, what Im looking for is official concensus on the idea that other than that rockin' Terminator VS Terminatrix fightscene in the bathroom where they smash a whole lot of stuff, the movie totaly blew.
