Everyone please buy one: it'll help my home town recover its economy Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
I don't have that many rupees! And only two cylinders? Even the Trabant had three. I'd like to drop a Suzuki Hyabusa engine in there...
Interesting numbering system they have in India... 1,000,000 or 100,000? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Never ever seen the comma used for two zeroes before. Pfft foreigners, what do they know? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Thanks, Saiyyadati.
Three zeroes per comma, all the time. And surely it's vice versa: the Americans use OUR system Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
So how much is that in Texas dollars? Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Cute little car..I bet the would have sold like hotcakes here in the states last summer when gas prices peaked. Now..not so much.
I don't think it's up to US or European crash standards. Anyway, high gas prices will come back, don't worry about that. The catch is there might be shortages and rationing too.
I don't. The units, tens and hundreds go together, then its always two at a time; after ten crore, its arab [sau crore, 100 crore, 1 billion]. 10 lakh is a million. 10 ten das 100 hundred sau 1,000 thousand hazar 10,000 ten thousand das hazar 1,00,000 one lakh 10,00,000 ten lakhs or one million 1,00,00,000 one crore 10,00,00,000 ten crore 1,00,00,00,000 one arab or one billion
Oh, c'mon, Spider, SAM's just learning how to count .....just practicing a little, that's all. Baron Max
Its a very interesting way indeed. Unfortunately, I grew up in Europe mostly and find it hard to wrap my head around it. No wonder I never understand what my parents are talking about when they talk finances in Urdu
Its based on the name hazaar, lakh, crore so ek hazar = one followed by three zeroes, ek lakh = one followed by five zeroes, ek crore = one followed by seven zeroes ek arab= one followed by nine zeroes. It makes more sense to me than the European/American system
Has "hazar" follen out of usage, (at least in the Indian English language media)? I was aware of lakhs and crores but I did not know about hazars. I like American numbers better. The USA is so retarded on dates and measurements. Why hasn't the metric system caught on in the USA? Does any nation other than the USA do Month first, then day, then year? So retarded. An American friend of mine bought a Tata Indigo and likes it better than the comparable US and Japanese cars. I wish they would sell the Nano in the USA; I think it could fill a niche here.
Sam i herd about this car and to be honest it worries me as to wether the safty which is built into a moden car is in this one.
