all tailgating should be illegal, but i dont see how the rugby board(thats all yankball is, just rugby with armour on) has any power over road users.

It is BS. Arrowhead (home of the Chiefs) makes a virtual festival out of tailgating. People show up to the parking lot 4 hours before the game! No tailgating at the Super Bowl? That's like no smoking at a bar. Next there will be no talking and No drinking at bars!
It isn't 'communist' though madant. It's conservatism and it's Nanny State. Evil Alcohol, Preserve Our Family Values...that crap. Communists would be swilling vodka and dancing with interlocked arms to Russian folk music. Conservatives would be frowning at the alcohol consumption and noisy ruffians sullying their community.

Football fans, fanatics drive to the stadium on Game Day hours early, unload the folding chairs, BBQ pits, kegs of beer, Porto Potties, TV and party till the game starts. Tens of thousands pack the football stadium lot. Some come with no ticket and just pay the $40 to park and party in the lot all day.
It is elaborate for some, hot air balloons, tents, portable dance floors, lots of team flags etc. Rules vary from stadium to stadium though, with KC having very lax regulations. Occassional fights and fires have erupted here & there.

You're thinking conservatives circa 1950. Modern day conservatives like to party. And the nanny state is now being promoted by the left at least as much as the right.

Here in Fort Wayne, our idiot Democrat mayor got a ban on smoking in all public places passed. You can't even smoke within twenty feet of a building.

By the way, I don't even smoke. But bars without smoke just don't seem right. It pisses me off to have the government telling me I can't smoke, or I have to wear a seatbelt, or my kids need to be in a booster seat until they're seventeen.

I'm not sure about your 'hip' conservatives theory. I know the Family Values crusaders are opposed to alcohol consumption and they promote the rightist nanny state: Government says gays can't marry, they want science replaced by religion (stem cell debate) they want the government to decide no women should get an abortion, they want censored books, movies and school science standards to match conservative values. They want rap and rock to sterilize their music, they want all tv to revert to 1940 standars and theywant sex shops and even Girls Gone Wild commercials banned. (A senate propsal from a nanny state rightist.)
The left wants racism to end, sexism to stop, choice and respect for all people.
I smoke and pay more in taxes for my product than anything else. Costs about 30cents to manufacture a pack of premium smokes like Marlboro but it's taxed to $3.90 here. In high school smokes (same brand) were 55cents, same cost as a school lunch.

Remember the anti-rock hearings that Frank Zappa testified at? Who was behind that? Tipper Gore, for one. Who's one of the main forces trying to ban video games? Joe Lieberman.

Plenty of feminists oppose Girls Gone Wild and other pornography on the grounds that it exploits women. Who is trying to keep us from driving snowmobiles at national parks?

In the sixties, the Left was the party party, but those days have passed. Now there are plenty of jerks on both sides of the aisle.

What freaking "security reasons"? One more organization decides to abuse the "security" code word. People simply should not put up with it.

Tipper Gore and J. Lieberman are not Leftists. Not even liberals. Tipper is a fundamentalist xian conservative. Lieberman is a neocon.
You're right about feminists opposing women being portrayed as drunken whores for entertainment. Snowmobiles at national parks is a bad thing. A rightist nanny state deciding who gets married and who is denied birth control or abortion is a very different much more important thing. Been snowmobiling lately? I've never been. But it is illegal for me to marry and I worked clinic defense at Planned Parenthood before and know the issues of personal rights and....snowmobiling are leagues apart in every way.

The real reason is probably that they're afraid tailgating might cut back on concession sales.

I was at the drive-in with my family and my youngest son (I think 6 at the time) needed to go to the bathroom. We were parked in the very back row, so I told him to wait until dark and we'd go over by the trees. Well, just as it was getting dark I heard the sound of someone pissing on the ground. I looked over and saw that my son decided to just stand up and pee right were he was. It so happened that he was peeing right under the lawnchair of the guy in front of us and some was hitting the guys blanket! I quietly led him back behind the car and the guy in the lawnchair was none the wiser. I had to explain to my son that just because we might occasionally pee outside, it didn't mean you could just pee anywhere!

Maybe if the concession stands would stop ass-raping people for a 4 ounce beer, they wouldn't have to worry about this.
