A poll to determine how many members on SciForums watch television. I would also like to mention TV seems to be somewhat dull and boring right now, can anyone suggest their favorites programs?

Correction = Don't Watch TV (or rarely, meaning less than 1 time a week) = Probably should say "less than 2 times a week")

I casually watch television throughout the day, paying attention to things I find interesting.

Why is this not in the Arts & Culture forum where it belongs?

Shows I watch faithfully:

Boston Legal
The Daily Show
Day Break
Desperate Housewives
NCIS
South Park
Ugly Betty
Vanished

Shows that are off season now but I watch faithfully when they're on:

24
Dancing with the Stars
Kyle XY
Lost
Rock Star
Stargate Atlantis
Stargate SG-1

Shows my wife likes that are pretty good, I watch sometimes:

General Hospital
House
Nip/Tuck
The Unit

I also tune in MTV3 and sometimes VH1 Classic

I usually watch Lost and the Simpsons. Football--NFL and college. Sometimes I'll watch either the Late Show or the Tonight Show.

Yeah right now it is boring, just watch that channel with the old sitcoms 'cause you learn alot. You aLSO GATT A FIND THE FLAG, we cant salute you without it.

I love TV. People who don't have a TV or think it's shit are pretentious bores. I'm listening to a podcast with my headphones and STILL my TV is on in the background. TV taught me English, it taught me a bunch of stuff, it is immensely educational and entertaining.

I am a very intelligent, very literate person, and I love TV. And I'm not ashamed of it. So there.

I have a TV but very little time to watch it. There's nothing I watch on a regular basis and I usually watch a little bit of everything from news, history, travel, TV shows, cooking, cartoons depending on what the time is, how tired or focused I am and of course, my mood. I watch comedy more than anything else, my favorites being the Daily Show and South Park. I like Boston Legal and House too, but I usually do not get a chance to watch.

My favourite shows, in no particular order:

Lost
Heroes
Battlestar Galactica
House
Boston Legal
Jericho
Jeopardy

I also am a whore for reality TV and I rather fancy Live! With Regis and Kelly, which I try to catch in the morning. I also regularly watch Stargate and Stargate: Atlantis. Mail Call, Mythbusters, and Survivorman also kick some serious rear end.

My all time favourite shows are Little House on the Prairie and Friends. Sliders, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, Highlander, Dr. Quinn: Medicine Woman, and Hercules/Xena are honourable mentions.

I'm also a huge fan of old sitcoms. Happy Days, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeanie, The Munsters, The Addam's Family, I Love Lucy, The Honeymooners, Green Acres...

And of course, I really loved the original Star Trek, too.

I don't watch TV at all. I download shows.
Heroes
Battlestar Galactica
Eureka

Heroes had some dull moments, but the last few episodes have been picking up.

Battlestar Galactica has mostly really great episodes, and a few really bad ones. They had alot of good action at the beginning of this season, and slowed down into a dismal state of uneventful boredom.

Eureka is awky and sometimes dry. But it's fun to watch. I have seen every episode of these shows.

South Park of course I have seen many episodes of that. The only 2 I saw this season was the Atheist War Nintendo Wii 2-part saga.

I agree. I don't have a TV. I download particular shows, but trying to get off of it. It's like smoking crack and total waste of my time. If I could stop I would. Anybody that promotes TV is a pretentious whore.
