What's the deal with TV commercials today? Half of them hardly mention the product, or have absolutely nothing to do with the product.
Do companies actually make money from these advertisements?? Because if the do, I would love to know how.:bugeye:

Yeah, I share the same rant. Like yesterday, I saw this commercial where a guy on a cell phone told everyone that "Your mother's hot in leather." At last, he goes to a club, and says it to the bouncer, who reluctantly lets him in. The music kicks in, the cell phone is shown on it's stand, the motto flies by, and the commercial's over, leaving me bewildered on the couch. :D
I seriously wonder how they get people to buy their products through these strange tactics. Are there subliminal messages? Or am I just missing something? :bugeye: :)
just to get your attention and waste your time
what i see is that most commercials more and more start to put sex and sexy women in the commercials, although the product itself has nothing to do with it, its just to grab the attention i guess;) and if the product is especially for women to buy they are so smart to put cute babies in it...they just work on our hormones:p

its prolly on of those "static" commercials... like on oceans elleven where he tells the bartneder "im gonna call it a night".. but he doesn't hear him... so eventualy he just yells "im running away with your wife" and the guy nods...

I once saw a commercial that featured nothing but different women's bare feet in different senarios. At the end, it mentioned cheese so I can only presume the commercial was for some brand of cheese.
