Okay, don't tell me to RTFM or call tech support. This copy of Linux is old and my tech support ran out, and the manual mentions nothing of this problem I'm having. Anyway, during installation, the screen mentions that the computer is searching for braille support - as soon as that gets done, my screen goes completely blank. Blank to the point of OFF. My harddrive and CD-rom are still going becaues I can here them, but no combinatin of keys I have found help me get something to show up on my screen. So my next thought is "Okay, I'll restart". Nope, my f*cking OFF switch doesn't work. I had to pull the cord out of the back. Anyway, can I anyone help me?

Why do you need braille support? If you don't need to don't install it and re-install the complete OS

Immediately or after you clicked some stuff and it's preparing to install?
