Surge in Abandoned Horses Renews Debate Over Slaughterhouses

Man that is sad, especially in America, more so than any other nation, which had such a historical affinity with the Horse. Time was a man was hung for stealing a Horse, but what can be done, I know, I swear if they catch the SOB that abandons his Horses, he ought be treated as if he killed the protected bald headed eagle.

well, what do they do with old dying horses now? Just kill them and bury them? What a waste!
Why not eat them or have them in dog food? Or feed carnivores in zoos.
