Since when is it the order of the state to uphold sexual conduct? I read nothing in the Constitution that seems to indicate that the Founding Fathers really cared who was boffing whom. As it being unnatural - sorry, but critters have same-sex relationships. More than one rancher has been disappointed when his prize winning bull seems to find the other bulls more attractive than the cows. In a case that tests the constitutionality of sodomy laws in 13 states, the justices will review the prosecution of two men under a 28-year-old Texas law making it a crime to engage in same-sex intercourse.

At issue is the constitutionality of anti-sodomy laws currently in force in a handful of states.

In 1986, the court on a 5-4 vote upheld the prosecution of two gay men under a Georgia anti-sodomy law in the case of Bowers v. Hardwick. That case focused on the right to privacy. (Full text here (http://www.cnn.com/2002/LAW/12/02/scotus.sodomy/index.html))It all boils down to the Right to Privacy. Upholding sodomy laws means the government can come into someone's bedroom. A beginning precedent will be set for the repeal of Roe v. Wade which is based on the right to privacy. Let's face it ladies, if they don't have a problem telling a guy what to do with his penis, they certainly won't have any problem telling you what to do with your uterus.

Peace.
