As you know, I haven't gotten around to the monkey thing (if any of you have been paying attention to the non-developments.)

So after cementing the monkey plans, my friends and I got around to talking about our plans for this summer. Our lives - being quite boring alone - usually lead to our spend the vacation doing 'stuff' together. Like most normal juveniles.

Now before this thread gets off on the wrong foot, we should clarify what I mean by 'stuff'. Basically, wild and crazy activities that bring with them enjoyment. You know.

Anyways, we're talking and my (retarded friends) soon agree that we should all go to ToysRus and purchase mini remote control cars, spending our summer racing those on tracks made of lego..(We're all 17, by the way, except for one who's about to turn 16)

I tell them that it's a stupid and childish idea, trying to talk some sense. And they retort by surrounding me and giving reasons as to why I should. Eventually I say that we(mostly me, to be modest) can think of better activities that are not recommended for ages 6-10..

Thing is, anything I want to do is 'boring' or 'nerdy' and barely fun. Time passes and I soon escape them by promising to buy a shitty little car if I can come up with a really good idea by tomorrow. Something that they'll all want to do that really 'rocks.'

So I need the help of my fellow sciforumers. Does anybody know how I can not waste my summer vacation? Really cool activities? Maybe it's a good question for all of us.

OH -- And even if I don't deliver an idea, there's no waay I'm buying the car. We'll probably just end up doing something stupider like a slurpee drinking contest or something..

I also forgot to mention this:

We hope to spend virtually no money and don't have versatile transportation (we can't drive, but have busses and C-Trains.)

I like some of your ideas, though. Yesterday, I went to the library and took out a few books on Java. Plus, I'd like to dismantle my comp, but it's too sweet, and I'm not really into taking *those* kinds of risks (life and limb, maybe.)

Hiking sounds alright, too. But my friends aren't really into that and none of us have any driverse liscences..
