Is there any way that somebody could change the colour of Sciforums' background from white to something a little darker? I mean, the gleaming white is a pain in the eyes (literally) after a while. Why not black (or at least something a little darker)?

what browser are you using?

anyways if you are using firefox browser you can do the following...

go to: tools => options => content => colors => for text choose white color for background choose dark gray (not black) , unselect "Allow pages to choose...", unselect "use system colors", hit ok, and ok again => exit firefox => start firefox again

I like the default look.

As opposed to changing it, how about the sysop enabling alternate skins for the board?
