I think I remember using <> surrounding sub & /sub for subscripts and similar syntax for superscripts/exponents.

The last time I tried this syntax, it did not work.

HTML has recently been disabled by the <s>Nazis in charge</s> administrators.

And I used to have such fun with those strikeouts.

Can we just have those back please?

We have Tex now so I won't compain about HTML.

    [strike]strike out[/strike]

Well, vB code allows you to do a strike out... but perhaps not here.

This page contains the current supported bbcode, as I mentioned in the other thread I'm sure there is a way to add new bbcodes that deal with things that are missing.

    We probably need:
    [sup] for superscript
    [sub] for subscript
    [strike] for those striked texts.

Of course any additions will also need the bbcode FAQ sheet also updated so people know what is available and how to use it.

(btw, a "competitor" of sciforums seems to have them. http://www.scienceforums.net/forum/misc.php?do=bbcode )
