Hello Folks,
I recently viewed the movie "Stigmata" on video. A premise of the story was that manuscript had been found which was believed to be in the original handwriting of Jesus Christ in the native Aramaic tongue and that the transcription of this manuscript was thwarted by the Catholic Church for fear that Christ's words would bring the Vatican down.
According to the movie the part of the manuscript that was successfully translated, before the translators were excommunicated and before the manuscript was siezed and
hidden by the Church, went something like this:
"The kingdom of God is within you and around you. My Church is not made of wood, stone or mortar. Split a piece of wood and I am there. Look under a rock and you will find me."
I was half-asleep at the end of the movie but there was a trailer which seemed to be declaring that such a manuscript did indeed exist.
Has anyone heard anything else from any other source about such a manuscript?
Thanks,
Brian
