Does anyone know anything about this

ESPECIALLY will it be for PC?

Well naturally it'll be for the PC, the Starcraft franchise is based on the PC!

Well it has to be on the PC or else it will, I repeat will, crash and burn on consoles

I sure do hope that it comes out soon, I mean why work on Warcraft when they have a sure hit with Starcraft 2? I think a hell of a lot more people play Starcraft now than any will every play Warcraft 3 (or maybe not). Anyway isn't SC Ghost coming out for consoles? Yeah I think they'll make SC2 for pc but Ghost is coming out on consoles, soon I think, or is it already out?

By Starcraft 2 are you refering to Starcraft: Ghost? First off Ghost is more of a spinoff than a sequel. Second, isn't Ghost a pure first person shooter unlike the original SC?

I got a blizzard newsletter that said that they were definitely going to do it, but not for awhile. Have a look around at battle.net or something...maybe you'll find the same article. Starcraft is way better than Warcraft 3. It really has endless replay value, while WC3 gets boring after a few weeks. I don't play it now because I lost the cd:(

www.Sclegacy.com for all the newbs out there that haven't been playing starcraft for four years. :cool: ^.^ They have some info, but the word around the campfire is that it won't be released for at least a few years, if not more. Strickly because blizzard is focusing on warcraft, or should I say SUCKCraft. :P And yea, SC: Ghost should be released this year I belive, and I think I'm going to go out and buy an XBOx for it, it just make an emulator for the computer, after all, Xbox is just a toned down computer... Heh. So yea, don't expect SC two for some time, and when it is released, keep your hopes up that it will be as good as the original Starcraft.

Ghost isn't Starcraft 2. Two completely different games. Why call something Starcraft 2 if it isn't an RTS? They know better. They know what sells, and Starcraft as an RTS sells. Ghost is just a spin off, like Command and Conquer: Renegade

It sounds to me as if SC2 isn't acctualy even in production at the moment, though knowing blizzard, and how they opperate, they will definately come out with a proper sequil for the PC at some point. That title was just too popular to simply ignore, especialy with the unresolved ending. Clearly they origionaly intended for there to be a sequil, the title did very well, and Blizzard makes it's money off of rehasning strong titles, so all indicators point toward there being a SC2 at some point.

I figured since I have not heard any news about SC 2 even being announced through Blizzard that you all were refering to SC:Ghost. So......Yeah.

pissed off that even the spin off isnt for PC cause i loved jedi knight and i loved star craft and a star craft game like that would be SOOO cool

It's going to be a bunch of crap, anyway, kind of like C&C Renegade, I predict a big disappointment, that's really all that a console 3D action spin-off can provide. They're shooting for a much lower common denominator.
