I am crazy. I listen to the Episode 1 soundtrack all the time. In my opinion, other than the lightsaber battle at the end it was the only thing good about that movie. I listen to the Empire Strikes Back cd, and I want A New Hope. I am so nuts, but I just love this stuff. Does anyone share this crazy fetish?

ep 1 has the BEST music

the whole end battles (just after the start of the gungan battle)

the normal battle music makes tention but when the jedi fight

makes me think its a battle of the gods with the music and lighting the way it was

Episode One does have the best music, Duel of the Fates, Anakin's theme, Track 10, Track 11, and Qui Gon's funeral. I bought the soundtrack a week or two before the movie came out so I have had ample time to really get into it.

Episode Two seems to suck, but I should listen to it more.

The Empire Strikes back had most of its tracks be unbelievably terrible, but the asteroid chase and then the Falcon's escape from the Space Worm are pretty cool, and on the second cd (which I have lost) had a great track when Han Solo was being frozen in carbonite (listen to the music in the scene, then you'll know). But other than that it is terrible.

    I don't have any others.

Congrats, tell me: are you a star wars guy?

I haven't really gotten into the Ep 2 soundtrack, I do enjoy the 4th track that involves yoda or something, but I can't stand the love theme since it seems to have been directly ripped off from something far better, I think it might've been the Sound of Music, I'm not sure. I'm listening to the Beatles more often now, but in my neverending cycle I'll get back to classical--and star wars--eventually.

I think The Ep2 Love theme is ripped directly off of either Scherzande or Caprice Espangaol bby Rimsky Korsakoff. I'm not sure because I have the CD with both of them and will have to listen to it.

I think some of the Ep1 music (Augie's Munincipal Band?) is ripped of off Ravel's Bolero. I think this is just the way most modern composers do things these days, since it's all about money. The only great compositions we find today are in movies, and John Williams does the movies.

I think it's just because if we have the tune in our heads already, we're more apt to like it, and thereofre more apt to spend our dough on the movie. But maybe we're just culturally drained?

Maybe. The era of great classical composers seems to be over. I don't happen to be too knowledgeable in the field so I don't have a clue as to when it might've ended, but it's certainly not being hummed as often as the latest britney spears song by random high school media PUPPETS.

I think it pretty much ended with Aaron Copland, but then again, I know very little as well. I wonder if there are any new debutantes out there we don't know about yet?

I doubt it. The world is full of too much music that sounds nothing like the classical classical, back when mozart and beethoven were churning the stuff out like hotcakes it was all over the place, and it was the only type of music around.
