Wow I would just like to say, I visited this place for the first time this evening. It was one hell of an interesting read. I like that there was even a thread named SHORTY how nice of them. I can't say it was flattering but oh well. I actually found my name came up in many threads. They sure spent alot of time talking about me, and other members names came up as well. If you haven't been there you may want to check it out, see what they have to say about you....Seems they like to talk behind your back like 2 faced chickens.

it is also interesting to note that we have a word filter in which the word "sciforums" is substituted for the words "that other forum", specifically to avoid the kind of crap shorty is trying to stir up.
Larger Than Life is an independant forum, completely seperate in every way from the mission of sciforums.com.

it is even against the rules to create threads that reflect negatively on sciforums, on our forum. doing so recieves an instant permaban.

and aside from all that, shorty was invited to take part in our forum when it was ressurected, notified through pm by myself (i handpicked members based on diversity of opinion for some variety) to take part in our discussions.
it is not the fault of the Larger Than Life forum that a member here does not like her screen name used. she should grow up, and not try to sow dissent among users on what many of us consider our "parent forum".

What agenda? shorty visits a forum (why did she visit that forum? she had already started a thread here even when she was invited there, which had been deleted by James), finds some references to herself, indicating that she was not welcome there because of her behaviour here in regards to another member (sandy) and the people who were nice to her (sockpuppet); keep in mind she has no way of knowing why the sockpuppet was created (spurious had a hissy fit at the time and was trying to keep a low profile) or when we found out about it (he PM'ed and told us after his hissy fit was over).

Sure they are, when we know about them; do you suppose spurious should be held responsible for a sock puppet he used for a short time when he was upset? He is no longer using it and wasn't when he wrote that thread shorty is whining about. We could ban that sockpuppet for being against the rules, but we can't punish him for arriving at certain conclusions about members here based on his interactions during that phase.

I vistited the site in boredom. Yes I was invited months ago and asked

1. This is my opinion as there has been no discussion on this matter with spurious.
2. Spurious did not post the results (afaik) he merely messaged me that as ersatz he found sandy to be a nice person
3. there was no prior reference to shorty, who was only discussed in relation to the invitation given her to join the LTL and her thread on this matter in sciforums (since deleted)

I do seem to recall Spurious mentioning in other posts (although I don't have the slightest clue where) that Sandy wasn't so bad. I'm so terribly sorry to have unleashed such negative emotions on this interesting forum.

I do not really want to reveal anything bout my personal life but I feel it is time to make a confession. In real life I am a happiness consultant. I say that Sandy is a friendly person because I have been reading some threads on this interesting forum.

I soon came to realize that there was some animosity towards Sandy.

But let me show you an example that Sandy is a kind and forgiving person.

Sandy reacts with much friendliness to another member who previous seemed rather hostile towards her when he appraoched her with friendliness. Or at least I believe so that he was hostile previously from the limited threads I have seen so far.

My friends, there is only one true way to happiness and I do not really want to give away too much because it is my livelyhood, and that is to save your passion for the bedroom! Do not dislike with a person with passion because that person is different.

I am not paid for this but I suggest a simple homework assignment that you may find rather enjoyable.

For today this homework is to try to approach the person you really dislike by addressing them in a polite manner and try to compliment them.

And since I know that you, my friends, are fond of little jokes I will preempt a standard negative response in this therapeutic tool by stating that it is not allowed to say that "there is nothing to compliment in the other person".

An accusation was made that Sam was somehow complicit and so far no proof has been given to attest to this. She has repeatedly stated she was not aware of it until afterwards. I personally believe her. Having just read through the thread in monkey's forum again, there was nothing there about deliberately 'getting shorty'. And there was definately nothing there about Sam being somehow 'in on it'. Unless you have proof of this shorty, you pretty much have nothing. Being a member or a mod on that forum does not guarantee knowledge. Hell I was a member and I never read it until yesterday when you pointed it out in this forum.

You read the thread, surely you understood the first post in it, didn't you? The opening post was to comment on your invitation to his forum after you had posted a thread about it here. I would assume that is the reason behind calling the thread shorty.

The thread clearly states that it was created after his so called experiment, which was not really about you but about himself. You appear to have come into it at the end when the sockpuppet realised that sandy was not a bad person after all and when he came to his realisation that you were a negative influence after he read your posts and he stated quite plainly that he found your intelligence to be lacking. It is also quite clear from what he said (and he states it in his forum) that he created a sockpuppet to run an experiment with sciforums (not you) and during his experiment, he came to the realisation that you were part of the problem that sciforums had been having. He stated this after he was questioned by another member.

As far as that thread is concerned, there is nothing of what you are accusing Sam of. Nowhere does it say in that thread that everyone knew about what he was doing. I didn't. Sam said she only found out afterwards when he told her that with his sockpuppet he found that sandy was not as bad as he had originally thought. So your accusation of any indiscretion on Sam's behalf is, well, moot. You have no proof. And reading through that thread, it is obvious it was not some fiendish plan to get you. It wasn't even about you. You were basically a side product of the discussion.

Yes. Spurious was once one of her greatest detractors. He then began to question his behavior. He carried this questioning so far as to perform an experiment as to whether Sandy might not be as horrible as everyone thought.

Thus, you begin to see that you were not the root of his experiment. It was actually an exercise in self-awareness.
