Social security pisses me off.

We should do what Steve Forbes proposes:

So far the Democrates say there are absolutely no problems with social security. All the studies that says there is are *biased*, and we should do absolutely nothing about it.

Yes, but Bush's proposition stinks also. We need to completely abandon social security. It is totally out of step with current times.

Well, at least he is trying something. The democrates on the other hand has absolutely no strategies but to abstruct the republicans. That is true in just about every issues there are. Now they are wondering why they lose midterm elections...

I agree. People should be responsible for their own social security.

Um...those 'six misconceptions' weren't exactly secret knowledge. I think pretty much everyone in the US knows how the social security system works.

I disagree. Most Americans have absolutely no idea how social security system works.

Most Americans think how everything works is that you put your hand up(with palm facing up) to the government, and then the government suppose to hand you money or services.

I suppose I can't prove you wrong, but most everyone I know who works for a living knows how social security works. I recall being taught about it in high school.
