I have a serious problem.I can boast of being a non -alcohlic(never touched it all my life,except in Chemistry lab experiments ;)),but in recent months,i have grown to be a compulsive Soft drinker.I cannot just let it go.I drink 1 ltr a day(Usually coke),compulsively...

can someone offer help?

I used to have the same problem. The major issue for me was dehydration of the skin. I drank so much coke that I would break out because my skin didn't have enough water in it.

Now I drink water, juice, tea, and coffee. :)

You have to quit cold turkey. Sorry, there's no other way.

yep..i drink too much pepsi max...

but to stay healthy i occasionaly will also drink huge quantities of alcohol containing beverages.

...maybe if you take some isotonic gatorades with you. Drinking that will keep your electrolyte balance intact. Also there is the caffeine/sugar issue with cola... Do you think it is caffeine cravings or soft drinks in general ?

Think about your kids dammint...drinking soda like that can give you diabeties eventually and it can rot away your liver in about 30 years or so.

I won't even go int owhat the carbonated water does for the calcium in your bones. ;)

If you really can't stop then switch to caffinne free and diet free soda..though that may do more harm than good. But oh won't somebody please think of the childern..the childern:(

When you get a craving for Coke, grab some juice or water instead. I love water...

You also can invest in a Nalgene bottle. I bring mine everywhere. That way, you beverage of choice (not Coke or Pepsi, of course ;) ) will be at hand! Yeah! :D

There seems to be somewhat of an underground Nalgene sect at my school. Apparently it's fashionable to carry one of those things around full to the brim with water and also EQUALLY fashionable to never, ever drink from it.

You could always start doing heroin.

My mom is like that. She is a hopeless caffeine addict when she dosent have any she gets pissed.

I drink about 2 coke cans a day sometimes then ill like run short of money then quit cold turkey.

um coca cola and pepsie are repulsive in taste how do you drink that...
im personally adicted to coffee; 3 cups a day, quadruple strength each. much, much, much more useful.

I bring mine around because of the convenience of having a beverage around. I don't care if it is fashionable or not, and I drink mine, mostly during Spanish.
