hmmmmmmmmmmm* :)

Welcome back, Rekiu!
How do you enjoy my avatar of death?

He kicks ass doesn't he.

Reiku

He does that...

It's a very... warm outlook on life :)

How did that ever happen? Welcome back, however you did it.

Yeah he is from Mortal Kombat Armegoddon, or whatever the spelling is. He is the very final boss in the game but he is a lot easier than moloch, or maybe he isn't. I haven't exactly tried the highest difficulty settings of that yet. I think I will do so at this moment.

It's an intricate game, full of fun.
My personal favoriate however was MK4, in which fujin was my favoriate character. Never once could I find a worthy opponent, other than the computer, which is of course computer controlled or animated or what not, as well as going to say that he isn't even worthy... It's just a simple mechanism that he follows I feel, in which he allows the same procedures. Not very fun playing aganist something that you know for certain that you are better than and yet...................

Well, I guess the point is that he exemplifies my own state of death. A sort of state of tranquility in my own personal hell as well as other qualities that I emply.

Reiku
01-24-08, 08:45 PM
So what you been up to?

Nothing much... just working and studying. Yourself?

Reiku

I used an old Jedi Mind Trick... :)

No Plazma re-entered me into the matrix.

Sounds fun. Mortal Kombat... I used to play it on the Saga.

I liked Scorpio and Sub-Zero.

sisyphus__
01-24-08, 08:58 PM
Scorpion! Also you must have played either Mortal Kombat 1 or Mortal Kombat 2 or 3 ... I forget honestly it was a long time ago.

And it is sega ;)
So yeah though you should get a video game system that supports the newer versions. The point is you have to see the game for what it is That It Is Made For. If the character punches, see exactly how the developers had in mind for how the punch to look. If it kicks or does some sort of a move that you are not familar with then get in the hang of progressing with the developers idea of the kick movement. If he kicks and you don't like it then well, the developers probably didn't do their job wrong did they! Also ...

The freeze button with sub-zero is a good move if you time it right. I think that that is they key man. If you can just time it with their jumps then you can hit them just right. Or with scropion you can do the spear, depending on the version of mortal kombat that does such, or the ice slide. The characters are all equal and it depends on the way in which you use them. Or, you may even say that they are not all equal, hell, I don't really know.

So Reiku welcome back to sci-forums. Discuss some physics with us and blow us away but ensure that it has quality enough to ensure that the form is maintainable? If you are refering to something such as a human beings perception of reality then ensure that it is intact and valid.

Reiku
01-24-08, 09:21 PM
I remember a cheat i discovered by moving through the characters really fast in a forward direction until it released a totally new character... He was metal in form... Wasn't a fantastic fighter though :)

Thank you. It feels good to be back. As for the validity of physics... well... It's all about statistics.

sisyphus__
01-24-08, 10:06 PM
wtf.
A metal character.
Are you insane?!

Are you sure about your final statement :D

Reiku
01-24-08, 10:16 PM
Defo mate.

sisyphus__
01-24-08, 10:20 PM
Is that all you do is physics.

Seriously. Please define this metal characters name too if you want. What were his moves.

Physics is all about statistics. Can you tell me how physics matters whatsoever?
Pardon. I do believe I meant to use the word "statistics" in with the word physics... or just statistics all together!

:O

Reiku
01-24-08, 10:28 PM
Yeh... Physics. I'm such a geek... :)

Anyway, from what i recall, he was built in hexagonal-like shapes... very slow-moving character... had a name... I just can't recall it - it was a while back now.

Reiku
01-24-08, 10:29 PM
Without physics, we wouldn't have medical devices like we do today. There's a good example of how it matters.

sisyphus__
01-24-08, 10:32 PM
Interesting.

What the heck. A character in mortal combat who isn't a human in form?
I don't get physics what-so-ever.

Maybe I should just go and learn something...
Instead of destroying everything.

sisyphus__
01-24-08, 10:33 PM
You can create, by the way, medical devices without physics. What requires a medical device to run, do I ask you? machines
:D?

Reiku
01-24-08, 10:41 PM
Like gamma rays used to x-ray the human body. Without physics, this wouldn't have been a possibility. Also, take the lazer. We wouldn't be able to lazer-eye surgery without knowing that the equations described them to all fall into the same states.

sisyphus__
01-24-08, 10:57 PM
Precisely my point if you haven't noticed.

But beyond that?
What are these "equations" used for?

Describing---------------------------------------what precisely?
Equations?
specifics?!

In my opinion, I can't seem to find an answer to this question.
Perhaps, you don't need "physics" whatsoever...

Reiku
01-24-08, 11:07 PM
Well... no... one doesn't NEED physics... But it helps if we want to advance technology, biomechanics and general observations of our universe at large. The equations are used to help notate the technical side of how things work.

sisyphus__
01-24-08, 11:23 PM
"need"
... lol... common show me power!!!

Hmmm I think that I do surely indeed understand what you, Reiku, until death do us part, are saying....

You are putting things in a technical language to where I cannot possibly comprehend how you are acting.
That is not very smart, Reiku. Sure, smart if you consider it to be smart.
Or if "you", in all honesty want it to be so.

...
I guess.
But, still.
I can't myself still see the need for physics. What is the point of using technical equations to describe human nature?
Apparently it doesn't involve human nature, or... does it??
Sure, if it exactly wants to help out mechanics and computers/technology that is fine with me for certain but...
So I see there is a "technical" side to how it works?

Care to explain that.
I can't find the way that the technical side of it would work.
So it does actually relate with how a human being would see things, and equations are used with that?
That, if it is true, is sad at .. (best)worst, and ...
man I have detoriated.

I KNOW you aren't up for clearing this mess up for me.

Well, human nature is actually quantum in nature: In other words, the physics can explain human nature... through chemistry and even through the wildest theories!

Sure. Define technology, and you have every mechanical device under the sun. If the technical side did not work, then neither would the mechanical side. \

Yeh... The world is a spacetime map seen by the human... the core and leading theory right now is that what we see we create, and it is hard to understand how to put this down into equations.

''That, if it is true, is sad at .. (best)worst, and ...
man I have detoriated.''

Not yet you haven't :o

eheh. Gee man thanks.

I think that I have honestly been using a lot of physics in what I call my philosophy... *sigh* but all I am doing is chatting.

I made plazama inferno shut down a thread because that is all I did, was chat.

See you later man....

Reiku

Later.

Sorry as I had said I am in a tough situation. No hard feelings. Just had to check up with you.

Reiku

No... i don't think you get what i mean...

You see that report button to your right, they are always lit green... meaning someone is constantly reporting these posts...

LOL

We're safe man :D
If they hit me, I will yell at them.
And then I will feel better.

Reiku
01-25-08, 12:03 AM
Yeh... That's what i usually do too... but since the shackles have been unlocked, i'm gonna try and be as nice as possible. Maybe.

I unfortunately................ had meant it at a different way. I guess I was refering to a ghost.

Yeah man whatever works :/
Bye.
