I have recently started smoking a pipe and have found it most relaxing. When I work late at night, I can sit in my kitchen and do physics, with a glass of bourbon and a nice smoke. Who's with me? How do you smoke?
I hope your gums rot and your lungs fall off even quicker than it happens to other tobacco users. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
It makes you stink. It makes your breath, hair, clothes, and everything stink. It makes your lungs sick. It invades every cell of your body. Why do it? It makes your teeth yellow. It's an expensive waste of money. It's not worth it.
Typical Christian—always sticking their nose where it doesn't belong. I just discovered American Spirit cigarettes—no additives.
Many things are unhealthy. And I think that the reason smoking is such a problem is that cigarettes are so cheap, and people smoke too many of them. Everything in moderationPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
it is a disgusting habit and cause childhood asthma and anyone who smokes smells like a dirty ashtray, in fact england on July 1st goes smoke free, you will not be allowed to smoke in any public place at all, YAY about time aswell.
no they wont because most pub's and clubs will ahve places that they have set up outside for the smokers, why should people go out and have a meal with people smoking around them, and its no good saying well sit in the non smoking area becuase smoke travels and should not be allowed any where near children and people with asthma
In English weather? Hardly. There's absolutely no sign of this being done in ANY pub where I live, so if it is planned it's being left slightly late... And setting up enclosed drinking and smoking areas is going to cost them. The few "non smoking" pubs we have in my home town (five-six years in business) have no facilities at all for smokers. In my local it's been generally agreed that after one pint, if the desire for a smoke hits most people are going outside, having a fag and then continiuing on via the off-licence to spend the night at home. And the landlord was in on the discussion, he's not a happy bunny.
Bring on July 1st, at least some pub landlords might be lucky as they won't suffer the wrath of cancer likes so many unlikely landlords (esp. landladies) before. Banning smoking from clubs will be good, the amount of times I've end up covered in smoke, it gets in your eyes and you smell like an ashtray the next day even though you don't smoke. Not to forget to mention the occasional accidents like somebody stubbing a cigarette out on there designer top through clumsiness (Believe me melted and pitted design wear is a real waste of money Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! )
Hey if you want to pay someone to destroy your organs and kill you contact me. I'm sure that we can negotiate a price.
the pubs and clubs where i live and work are doing it, they are setting up outside smoking areas, and if you dont want to go outside in the cold or wet to smoke them simply your habit is to big for you or anyone to handle. Its quite sad when your going to see a film and someone has to go out half way through for a fag,
http://sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=66902 my sister went with me to my last doctors appointment, she smokes. on the way home she lit up a cigarette. it was the first time i smelled cigarette smoke from the other side. sandy is correct, cigarette smoke stinks. as a matter of fact there is a chemical in cigarette smoke that gives it the odor of skunks. i quit and i will never smoke another one.
I used to smoke a pipe in my twenties and always found it relaxing. It is conducive to pensiveness and cogitation for some reason. Maybe just the idea of pipe smoking induces the relaxation from remembered old-fashioned stereotypes... Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
