Does anyone remmember that cool scifi type programme called 'Sliders' where they went into other dimensions and had that guy from Indiana Jones as one of the cast? It was an amasing program but it just stopped being broadcasted, that was a few years back and i havnt seen it since. Did anyone else like it?

Cheers

Sliders was a cool show and I've always had a thing for Jerry O'Connel who played Mallory Quinn. Did you ever see him in a film called joe's apartment about all singing all dancing roaches LMFHO!
Sliders went down the pan as the characters were replaced and I think that that's why they stopped producing it. People just voted with their remote controls!
A damn shame!

(Following the jazzy text) I remember it for sure. I hated the way that the episode ended sometimes and has potential for another good episode, like the one with killer bee's, I was so excited when it came around the next week to find it was something totally different. My favourite one was where Russia had taken over America, that one was cool. I was thinking about the one where technology was banned and America was stuck in the 50's.

As far as i can remmember they always ended the show by them sliding and ending up in a predicament then it would finish, then it would carry on next week but i sometimes missed it and i was left wondering what happened. BBC is screwed up, probally it was their fault.

They replaced the characters?
The Prfessor was killed and his "youth" was taken by a demented military guy and he was replaced by a woman who was under his command. If you remember the one with the Dinosaurs, then you'll know what I'm talking about

Yeh, i remmember that, but i dont think that is what bbcboy is talking about. I went to the website and they replaced all the cast. stupid thing to do.

Sliders was cool! Scifi channel cancelled it though, and gave it the worst ending possible. Look up the episode entitled "The Seer" Thats the final episode. Really horrible, I mean really!

I think changing all the characters for more 'sexy' ones is laughable. thats what i read anyway. lol

Sliders was an excellent show to begin with. A great way to explore the what ifs of alternate histories, without getting too bogged down. Had an almost Star Trek feel to it in that way, as every episode had some message underneath. I unfortunately couldn't follow it around the time of the other traveling race (the ugly guys), so have no idea what direction they took that plot. Seems like SciFi Channel is going more and more mainstream with their opinion of what is good and what isn't.

That really was a great show. I didn't follow it much after the second season... I just kinda forgot about it. It was Canadian. I'm so proud.

Sliders was awesome, but it really went downhill after the professor was killed off. Didn't it eventually get down to like one original cast member?? Eventually it just got to the point where it was the same thing all the time. It needed to end.
