The race is on with Bones and the brainiac DS9 practitioner neck and neck...with the EMH and the former Fleet medical head tied for dead last :)

Julian did cure Odo of Section 31's virus, after invading an operative's brain...and he did find a cure for an engineered Dominion virus.

McCoy however would have invented a number of the standard procedures that Julian studied :) inclusive of brain surgery techniques.

Didn't Beverly direct a C-section of an alien creature's baby with the Enterprise's phasers? McCoy's Horta patch seems a bit humdrum in comparison...

I couldn't stomach most episodes of the Next De-Generation, so I didn't see many - or at least not that one.

It was a rhetorical question. She did. They had to because they accidentally killed the mummy when it attacked the Enterprise. Half the episode was how to get the baby creature detached from the hull of the Enterprise as its fixated new mummy.
