It's been so long since I used Microsoft Excel. I'm using the version that comes with Microsoft Office 2000.

Anyway, I want to change the width of a cell without it changing all the cells above or below that. Because when I do, it changes all the cells in the same column. I want to avoid that. How can I do it? I know there's a way since I knew it before, but I forgot.

You can merge the cell with another or others to make it wider.

    Format/Cells/Alignment/ check merge cells
