SCIFORUMS should consider the awarding or declaring best thread/s of the year in different branches.
This will encourage more and more participants and better sharing of knowledge rather than simply chit-chatting,

Maybe a thread could be started for nominations, and a period given for voting.

You can visit the cesspool and see why that does not normally work. Too many egos.

What? Egos? Here? That's just crazy talk.
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm busy casting a 50-foot statue of myself in solid platinum.

goofyfish,
Just because a person starts a thread does not mean they are the ones who contribute to how productive it is. The award is not to the the thread poster, or any of its contributors, but rather to the thread itself.
its a good idea, (points with an ak-47 and asks "can i win this?") :D

this is a very nice idea and this would also encourage the members to post some interesting and educative threads instead of SPAM threads ...

shuddup, that's not true. I find your comments offensive and down right negative. The cesspool is as valuable as any other part of sciforums. We discuss the things you squares are too afraid to think about.

Agreed. It's not as though it would be a personal award, or anything.
