I don't really know where to post this, but...

One of my beloved physics textbooks is falling apart---a whole chapter just decided to spontaneously break itself from my Peskin an Schroeder QFT book. (Ironic, because it is the chapter dealing with spontaneously broken gauge theories...)

Anyway, are there any suggestions for repairing it? I've heard Elmer's glue along the binding... Can anyone confirm this? I don't want to screw this book up because it contains two years worth of notes in the margins!!!

Get a teaching position at a university, get assigned to QFT, choose Peskin and Schroeder as the textbook, then have the department spring for a new copy. Then you can retire the old copy to prevent further damage. Simple!

Try the library, maybe you can slip somebody a few bucks and they'll fix it for you.

Try the library,
this is also my suggestion..
duct taping covers back on is one thing, dealing with entire chapters falling out is another.
