While we're getting ready to steamroller Iraq the floor may fall out from under us - Musharraf govt. announced release of three Pakistani citizens suspected of harboring Al-Qaeda. This after big marches in Lahore protesting their arrests. Meanwhile, two days ago Musharraf personally called GWB and actually said "that war against Iraq is not a good option. " On the same day, the Pakistani PM decided not to go to Iran this Saturday to discuss non-military solutions to the Iraq crisis. In other news, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud al-Faisal has said that any unilateral military action by the US would appear as an "act of aggression". Finally, Bush "forgot" to include $300M aid to Afghanistan in his budget request. I think that when this war starts in earnest we will see the governments of Saudi, Pakistan and Afghanistan topple.
