Our the last few weeks I have noticed my sense of humor has lessened.

Humor is very important to me (although I rarely use it here) and I normally use it many times a day. I have noticed that this happens every now and again that I have periods where I do not see much humor.

Does this happen to anyone else?

Nope, not to me. My sense of humor is "on" all the time. I see humor in everything, even major world disasters with gazillions of dead people.

Sense of humor can be affected by mood which can be affected by hormones and many other things. The sense of humor has to be fed. Go watch something you know is funny to you or visit someone who makes you laugh.
Renewing your sense of humor may not happen here. I know mine flies out the window as soon as I read something that ticks me off.:D

Sure it happens when I am stressed or upset.

However, I am the type of person who cannot stay mad for more than a minute, so any loss of humor is usually very temporary.

That's why having a concealed weapon on you at all times is so important-

Thats better. :poke:

On a different note, I once saw a black man in a sleeveless vest and was surprised to see he had the same kind of hair in his armpits as on his head ie. very curly. I don't know why I expected otherwise, just something that caught my attention, since I had not considered pubic hair in black men before (Muslims shave so Saudi blacks did not let me in on this phenomenon).

I thought you were looking at his underarms?

Maybe you could slip into something more Freudian.

Because love is chemical imbalance we'd be better off without...

I felt a group hug coming on after reading the above posts.
And group hugs are specious wishy-washy excuses for everyone to pretend they get on with each other.

LOL sam--that's REALLY cute:D

God commands us to love each other. It's so big, he made two commandments telling us to do it. Love is big. Huge. Don't you feel better after feeling love for someone than when you feel hate/disdain/nothing for them?

The most awesome I have ever felt in my whole life is in the presence of God.
It's an overwhelming feeling of peace, joy, happiness, elation, and total bliss.

When I was in my teens (about fifty years ago) I had this favourite great aunt who had no sense of humour. I mean jokes went straight through her without an interaction, like neutrinos. She was interesting to talk to, of above average intelligence, and had an inquiring mind, but there was no point making a witty remark.

When I remarked, at a family gathering, that the woman (deceased by this time) had had no sense of humour, I received black looks -- like I had been offensive to her memory. It was like I had said she was ill-natured. But she hadn't, I insisted, you must have noticed. Tell me something that made her laugh! But I had said the wrong thing and they weren't going to debate the point with me.

I actually found her lack of a sense of humour rather endearing. Even amusing! She was one of my dearest and favourite relatives.

Don't we rate GSOH rather too highly these days? In fact, if the first thing that is mentioned about someone's personality is that they have a GSOH, don't you think, "Oh gawd!"

i picture sam and IAC in a single room with no way out.

or.
IAC and buffalo are in a room then sam is led in blindfolded.
the blindfold is removed and the door locked.
the look on sams face when she realizes what is happening would be priceless.

Wow, I'd pay money to see that: brings to mind a sequence from Watchmen, when Rohrshach was banged up with all the criminals he'd put inside, when they came to get their own back his only comment was "You're mistaken if you think I'm locked in here with you, YOU are locked in here with ME" and then he took apart, one at a time...
