So I'm thinking of moving outside of the US. The only places I've been out of the country were Mexico (which I HATED...but to be fair I only went to Tijuana...not a fair representation I'm sure) and Canada (Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City...all of which I loved). I also plan to look for a career in genetic research after attending grad school at whichever country I pick, so that needs to factor in. You guys are from all over. Tell me what you think. I might consider giving you one of the smaller ones for that (shrimp flavor, I hope) but the smaller nation islands I have in the South Pacific don't have any scientific infrastructure for you to learn and practice genetics. Not to mention the natives see it as wictchcraft and devilry. You will need a lot of money and resources to make that work - plus you would have to build in impenetrable fortress to protect you and your work. If you want a first world country with an established infrastructure, that will cost you a lot more. I'm sorry we couldn't do business. Best of luck in your search.
Canada is pretty nice. If you like the cold and alot of snow in the winter. The summers are humid as hell. I live in Ontario, and depending on where you want to live, closer to the big cities, it's pretty expensive to live. (apt and such) I would stay away from Toronto it is a dump!! Toronto is where all the so called "action" is. You couldn't pay me to live there though!!!
I hear Genetics is big in the Vancouver area. B.C is the most gorgeous part of Canada. Warmer year round that the rest of the country too - kinda rainy in Vancouver.
Do you live in Canada, too? Actually, sorry if this is a stupid question, still fairly new here, but are you shorty's husband...?
He is my WORSE half Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! married...don't even say that word!! lol
Check these out. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_genetics_research_organizations There's also Seoul, Korea, if you are willing to spend a year to learn the language. They do some amazing research in genetics. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
