This thread is a sanctuary please... I mean it. I want to create a place where we can express appreciation for those whom we come to care about here. If someone has helped you, inspires you.. makes you laugh.. somehow enriches your life through these forums... let them know. Tell them. Let's keep it positive please... I really want this to be a happy happy thread where we only pay each other the honor of appreciation.

    (I swear I'm not gay)

    Okay, show the love people..

(sorry I know there was a similar "who's smartest" thread, but that's not my intent... I just want to have a place to say "hey, you guys kick ass" without the pressure of you having to be the "best thinker" or whatever and since you can't see my appreciation on my dorky face...

Man, too many people to mention.. but I swear I find

ConsequentAtheist's comments are simply amazing. He generally says more in a sentence than I can say in a page. I find it simply inspiring.

Of course Tiassa is a favorite of mine for his elegant volumes... it's astounding to me that he can crank out that much excellent commentary. I rarely competely agree with his take, but he is simply so skilled at presenting it and such a seemingly genuine intellect that it's always refreshing to finish reading one of his posts (even if he's in a mood!) if I can actually make it that long. Hehe.. damn walking encyclopedia...

You're probably one of the only people I "know" that I'm almost positive understand every reference Dennis Miller ever laid out.

I'm always entranced by Xev's lewd brilliance. Her mind is dangerously sexy to me. She is an impressive specimen for sure.

Sorry for calling you a "specimen" Xev. I'm being far too sappy for my own taste... ick.

Chroot kicks ass. I simply revel in his seemingly unwavering comprehesion of a broad range (to me as a novice at least) of math and physics. I respect his passion for the rigor of science and unrelenting efforts to make people who don't understand things, understand..

Okay, I apoligize to those whom I've appreciated if it seems gay or embarassing. I assure you my intentions are such that you are honored..

    A shout out to:

Dr. Lou... whom I find to be most entertaining!
Killjoy... whose comments on nihilism I greatly enjoyed..
Persol... whom I seem to relate to
Goofy... for being so calm in the midst of the storm that is WE/P
AllahsMathematics... for being patient enough to give me a greater understanding of a perspective that remains foreign to me... and I respect HIS seemingly amazing body of knowledge regarding oppression, who's doing it.. and what lead to it (not that I agree, I just greatly respect it)

Xev. She has shown me the light! Oops, was I not suppose to mention our cult, Xev?

Wet1: For being nice and respectable.

Tiassa: He has the ability to give me a headache and make me scratch my head sometimes.

I stumbled upon these forums about a month ago, by accident. Since then I've just been lurking and browsing, and a couple days ago I decided to activate an account so I can make the occasional post. Although I've not yet been around long enough to familiarize myself with the various personalities of these forums, I do have to say that there are some VERY bright posters here. I've really been enjoying the topics and conversations I've been reading....haha it gives me something interesting to do at work. So, bravo to all.

I think I spoke to you more via IM than on the boards.

I quite respect Blue_UK, actually. Everyone else is a 'tard.

Seriously though, I don't know anyone here in the slightest.

I would also add Whitewolf to that list.

Wolf is a stubborn user...we don't always agree on things...hell we never agree because wolf refuses to budge from it's point and i just give up. But i know wolf at more personal level...well because i recommended wolf to this site because whitey and i are college mates...so we discuss things way after our PC's shut down.

I am glad i recommended wolf to the site...check out for wolf's posts...there is something always interesting there. Wolf if you are reading this than know this..i appreciate your posts...don't agree with them 99% of the time but understand your point of view......

I appreciate Galt. He is by far the most intelligent, witty, insightful, attractive and modest person here. My ex-girlfriend doesn't seem to like him, though.

I also enjoy reading posts by Jerrek, Xev, Allahs Mathematics, Lucysnow, WesMorris, Goofyfish, Tiassa, Sargentlard...too many to list, really.

I did a course in debating once in the field of cultural history. I was the only person debating that debating was pointless, which made everything a waste of time.

I did manage to antagonize many people, including some professors. Always a good career move.

I have the greatest of respect for certain sciforumers, and I am pleased to meet an old 'acqaintance'. I also am pleased to see such intelligent posts from the weaker sex

, and I am especially to have found my darling (and she is a darling).

There is more I would like to write, in general, however because Wes stipulated he wanted this to be 'a happy happy thread where we only pay each other the honor of appreciation' I will refrain.

    Liar

I appreciate you Wes, for creating this thread. It focuses on the positive and doesn't turn acknowlegdements into the club house mentality like some of the other recent threads have been doing.

I appreciate The Sarge and BlueSoulRobot for keeping the spirit up and the zanny chats we had.
