Following in the footsteps of Sciforums Fleet, I am creating this; Sciforums City: Solstice. Just create a character, and start typing. It's like an RPG. The cities name is Solstice. It's more of a drama, not like the Fleet which is more of an Action and Adventure. Anyone is free to join in. I'll start: It was a moderate rain in the City of Solstice. It was the kind of night when everyone would be inside. Everyone except Omega. A cool looking dude with his black medium cut hair, shades, and trenchcoat. He took a cigarette out of the top pocket of his trenchcoat, and lit it with a lighter he'd had for a few years now. He walked down the cracked sidewalk that ran through town, and he stopped in front of a bar. Slowly turning he entered.
Shogun was the young son of a noble only 16 years of age, studying at the prestigious University of Solstice. He don' know what goes on in the real world, he only know the good parts, but not the evil. He was playing Chess with his friend at his room, Chess was his favorite pastime, it gave him something to think about, something to occupy him.
Omega walked into the mean looking bar, at all the meaner looking customers. Except for one, a 21 year old woman, as beautiful as anything he'd ever seen. He mozied on over and sat down next to her. "You come here often?" he said as he puffed his cigarette. OUT OF STORY: And by the way, be descriptive, it's all about the details.
Skullkid, a youth of 14 years, was hanging out at the National Park of Solstice as he skipped yet another day of school. He hated high school, but loved to be outside, in the open air. Here, he was playing football with other teens who had skipped. Here, he was truly happy.
He sat down of his comfortable sofa, "I believe that is checkmate," His friend looked at the Chess board puzzled, "You won again for the..." "10th time in a row," Shogun completed for him, "Yeah that is right, so when are we going to play the "Black King"?" He smiled and said, "Tomorrow, right after school," his smile turned sinister then continued, "I wonder how much we can rake in this time,", despite his allowances and scholarships, he also have a steady source of income fed by his intelligence, he usually gambles at chess, he never lost one game.
"Trying to pick me up?" "Is it working?" She smiled faintly and said, "I'm Rebecca." "My friends call me Omega. You can call me Jack." "Well Jack, aren't you a bit young to be smoking?" Jack took a long inhale and blew it out. "I'm 22, it's legal." Just then a S.W.A.T team helicopter began dropping men outside the bar.
He and his friend then cleaned up the Chess board, "So Jeremy, did you finish the Physics assignment?" "Not yet, I don't understand it," Shogun smiled and said, "You know I can help you," Jeremy looked hopeful and asked, "Really? You finished it?" Shogun chuckled and said "Yeah, it looks challenging, but it is fairly simple, I can help you right after the Chess game," Jeremy grinned and said, "Thanks mate," Shogun then said, "That is what friends are for right?"
"Alright guys, good game, good game." Skullkid said. "Now, fork it over." he said. Everyone on the other team began handing money to the players on Skullkid's team. They had made a bet that Skullkid and his team would lose in the game. They won and had earned the money fair and square. After collecting the money, Skullkid headed for his home in "the ghetto."
"There's gonna be trouble." "What do you mean?" "That guy at the pool table is in charge of a cartel. I was trying to collect the bounty." "Really? I was too." "What? You? A bounty hunter?" "Does that surprise you?" "Yeah, it does." Jack reached for his Colt .45 Revolver. All six cylinders were loaded. He looked as she pulled out a tech 9 automatic Uzi. "Head for the back door." The started leaving as the S.W.A.T team crashed through the glass and began arresting the cartel members.
He sat sitting there at his living room after Jeremy left. He flipped through the channels he was bored with nothing to do, he then saw the news about a S.W.A.T. raid on a bar downtown. That got his full attention.
As Skullkid got home, he put the key into the lock of his front door and walked in to the smell of cigarettes and booze. "Who is it?!" Skullkid's mom yelled. "It's me." he replied back. As he walked to his room, he passed by his parent's room and saw his dad passed out on the bed, drunk, again. "Ugh. What a father." he said. He walked into his room, shut the door, and threw himself onto his bed. "I have got to get a job." he said. He grabbed a newspaper off the floor and began to flip throught the the pages full of job offerings.
Channel 1000 News: In other news Police aprehended local cartel leader Huan Lagora, known for drug trafficking all throughout Solstice. It seems two people escaped the bar in which police raided. There identities are unknown. And now to weather...
Shogun sighed and said, "I don't understand, why do they need to commit crime, they could get caught and their life ruined," he then continued watching the news.

That got his full attention, he played a lot against lesser nobility and the wealthy, but he haven't played in tournament in a long time. He will show the city his skill and intelligence. He smiled and looked at his calender, great, on Monday, he will be available for the tournament.
Jack and Rebecca ran through the back alleys of Solstice. A nasty place full of vermin, and I don't mean the rodents. They ran a while before running into a group of thugs. "Take a wrong turn? Heheheh." "Get out of our way." "Or else what?" Jack drew his Colt and pointed it at the man's head. "Move.... please."
He then decided to take a walk outside, and see the downtown at night. He also brought the pistol his father bought for him for self-protection. He mastered Ninjutsu, Jujitsu and Kung Fu, but his dad said, in a world like this guns are always needed for self-protection, so he practiced everyday in the firing range, he is actually really good. It is requires a lot of skill and patience.
Jack and Rebecca made there way downtown. Along the way they ran into a teenager walking down the street with a pistol in his hand. "Kid, what are you doing out here at this time of night, in this part of town, with a gun in your hand?"
