Nothing that my Lord, the evil and mighty Xenu, can't deal with. cosmictraveler 10-09-04, 09:06 AM It is a bunch of nonsense that once I read it I wished I hadn't. A man is writing about what he thinks you should do to be a "better" person to yourself. It just shows ways of becomming more egotistical and sardonic. kazakhan 10-09-04, 09:10 AM I was a fan of Hubbards sci-fi books so I decided to read Dianetics, the guy was insane. If we're to believe Hubbard then most of us are here because our parents failed in their abortion attempt(s) robtex 10-09-04, 11:38 AM It's hard because unless you know an ex-memeber they keep what goes on inside their organization ...inside their organization. Current memebers won't tell you squat. I have tried before..when I was really young. I live in Austin which is one of the largest hubs for them in the United States and they seem to stay out of the limelight. I have seen them do some community services with churches in the area....something to do with Aids I think. The only thing I noticed is that their building is on Guadalupe street which is tangent to the University of Texas main campus. The largest university in the state of Texas with a population of about 50k students. It is a two story building and if you want info you have to go up two the second floor where you are alone an isolated from the lobby. They are not willing to talk about it at all in the lobby. I know because I tried but turned down the invite to go upstairs with them. I read some about it on the net and it seems to he a heavy dose of new age meets psychology and I noticed God is not mentioned in the texts making me think they are athiestically inclined. The German govement has battled it extensivly following deaths of members who died in the presense of other members. If you have a lot of time on the net sometimes people who escape ...or defect will say that mostly they worked really hard to produce income that went to the church and that it was very expensive to be a member of it. operatation clambake is the largest info provider on the group and is against their existance. They published the internal enemy list of the church http://www.xenu.net/archive/enemy_names/enemy_list.html and the list is long. the main page for operation clambake is here http://www.xenu.net/ MagiAwen 10-09-04, 12:15 PM Sounds like jiggery-pokery to me. :p |
