I enjoy SciFi, Fantasy, & occult stories: Books, movies, & TV.

I switch channels as soon as I recognize phoney reality shows. I think they insult a thinking person's intellegence.

For example: Ghost Hunters. The characters on this show pretend to be scientists investigating ghost sightings. They talk about readings on various instruments and babble about the possibility that some place is haunted.

The show must be popular: It has spawned two new shows: Ghost Hunters International & Ghost Hunters Academy (or college).

    As somebody once said.

We have Most Haunted over here in the UK, as well as the shows you mentioned. I do like to watch most Haunted when its live, its reality TV at its best, (No I am not a fan of reality TV) If you stick someone in a room in pitch blackness, add a creepy story to the mix, you're bound to get results, psychologically.
I’ve always said that the paranormal is a fascinating subject, whether it be UFO’s or ghosts, but the minute you stick a story in a tabloid newspaper or the ‘And Finally’ section of News at Ten or make it into a TV show then it becomes something else entirely.
These paranormal TV shows do attract large audiences which is why they keep going.
