Why didn't you just bring one of those three things ? Then she couldn't have punished you for it, since she said 'or'.

The only book i ever read durin my school years was a Hardy Boy book called "The mystery of the Chinise Junk"... it was the thinist book i coud find... an normaly i woud read a Readers Digest "condenced" verson (only when necesary for a book report... ect) which was usualy only about 12(?) pages long but for som reason i coudnt get by wit it that time... O well... it was a bit of a pane but it didnt kill me.!!!

That would explain why you can't spell or write properly.

I read all of the Hardy Boys, lol/

My dad was a great believer in Readers Digest. He would point out the good bits from Points to Ponder. For years, I would go through the Readers Digests in the house, reading Humor in Uniform, All in a Days Work, Life's Like That, Quotable Quotes. Can't remember the name of the multiple choice word definition column they had in the beginning of each magazine. Word Power something?

The quality of the stories and contributions deteriorated sometime in the late 90s, after which we stopped getting it.

But Drama in Real Life had some really wonderful stories in the old days.

/I said in the old days :bawl:

As for school, ah, some of the best days of my life.

    Improve Your Word Power.
It expanded your, like, uh, erm , list of words wot you know.

Pfft, not once did they print a word I didn't get right, what a waste of paper.

I have never had a prollem bein able to read stuff as i went thru school an i supose i can read perty much on a high school level now... but i suspect som sort of brane prollems is why the corect way to spell words wont stay wit me... but wit grate effort i can use spell check an a dictonary (to figer out which word i shud use that spell check says i shud use) an write a good soundin an spelled corectly post... but that effort woud take all the fun out of postin so i jus let 'er rip an post the way i talk an the way ive been used to postin an spellin words ever sinse i started postin which was about 10 years ago.!!!

But botom line... i never took school serousliy... a "c" average was plenty good enuff for me... an i dont recomend that atitude about school to others... but thangs has worked out oK for me so i ant complain about my past... i thank its interestin... even the not so good stuff.!!!

My friend Icepick speaks farsi. That was the only word I recognized. At least I think that is what you guys are talking about. Do you know what kind of hell you go through to even get a farsi dictionary on the internet? Sheesh.
