I amar prestar aen
The world is changed.
han mathon ne nen
I feel it in the water.
han mathon ne chae
I feel it in the earth
a han noston ne 'wilith.
I smell it in the air.
Much that once was is lost,
for none now live who remember it.
It began with the forging of the great Rings.
Three were given to the Elves, immortal,
wisest and fairest of all beings.
Seven to the Dwarflords, great miners and
craftsmen of the mountain halls.
And nine, nine rings were gifted to the race of Men,
who above all else desire power.
For within these rings was bound the strength
and will to govern each race.
But they were all of them deceived, for another Ring was made.
In the land of Mordor, in the fires of Mount Doom, the Dark Lord
Sauron forged in secret a Master Ring to control all others, and
into this ring he poured his cruelty, his
malice and his will to dominate all life.
One Ring to rule them all.
One by one, the free lands of Middle Earth fell to the
power of the Ring, but there were some who
resisted. A last alliance of Men and Elves
marched against the armies of Mordor, and on
the slopes of Mount Doom, they fought for
the freedom of Middle-Earth.
ARWEN
Why do you fear the past? You are Isildur's
heir, not Isildur himself. You are not bound to
his fate.
STRIDER
The same blood flows in my veins, the same
weakness.
ARWEN
Her blue eyes looked into his.Your time will come. You will face the same evil, and you will defeat it.
A si i-Dhúath ú-orthor, Aragorn. - The shadow does not yet hold sway yet.Ú or le a ú or nin. - Not over you ... not over me.
Renich i lú i erui govannem? - Do you remember when we first met?
STRIDER
Nauthannen i ned ôl reniann - I thought I had strayed into a dream.
ARWEN
Gwennin in enninath... - Long years have passed.
Ú-'arnech in naeth i si celich. - You did not have the cares you carry now.
Renich i beth i pennen? - Do you remember what I told you?
STRIDER
You said you'd bind yourself to me,
forsaking the immortal life of your people.
ARWEN
And to that I hold. I would rather share one lifetime
with you than face all the ages of this world alone.
I choose a mortal life.
ARWEN gives ARAGORN her necklace.
STRIDER
You cannot give me this.
ARWEN
It is mine to give to whom I will. Like my heart.
A council is gathered of MEN and ELVES and DWARVES and FRODO.
ELROND
Strangers from distant lands, friends of old.
You have been summoned here to answer the threat of
Mordor. Middle-Earth stands upon the brink of
destruction. None can escape it.
You will unite or you will fall.
Each race is bound to this fate, this one doom.
Bring forth the ring, Frodo.
FRODO puts the RING on the stand in the center of the
council.
BOROMIR
So it is true.

The doom of man...
