I think everyone who was born in the 80's watched this show extensively. I dare anyone of you to deny it. :bugeye: This show really set me up for some false expectations regarding high school. No principal would ever be such a pushover as Mr. Belding.

That was one of my favorite show when I was younger (in the 80's) and I thought that high-school and college were that way :)
In USA, I don't know... but in France, not at all !!!

Also, What were cool guys like Zach and A.C. doing hanging out with Screech?

SG-N

He could have been their scapegoat, but as it was a TV-show he was the "nerd friend". He was friendly...
Zach was "cool". Now I think that he was too... too everything :( ! He was too cool, too proud, too smart...
Anyway, it was a great teenage show (and I was a teenager).

I can't deny it, I watched it since I was wee nipper. And the College Years and the New Class. Looking back on it now and watching it on present TV, you wander why you actually watched it, but it still holds some good stories and gags.

Also, anyone remember Power Rangers, the original one. I saw an episode of that the other day and it is terrible. I can now see why my parents couldn't stand them. :)

Quiz: What does the A.C stand for in A.C Slater's name?

just had a look on google :
Albert Clifford "AC" Slater... :D

Greaaaaaaaat show!!!!!
But the new class was terrible. Just awful.

And yes, it certainly gave me false impressions of what highschool would be like!

I use to love that show...but it all went downhill after that show ended...the new class was terribleand the college years was ok i guess....sure looking back now and seeing the show you say "WTF....I use to watch this crap"...also power rangers was big with me when i was 10...oh man i would get up at 7 am on saturday to watch that show...but good lord it's stupid now and every season they change the whole show because it's a fleeting concept that ran out it's novelty 8 years ago.

I can honestly say I've never EVER watched Saved by the Bell. I saw part of an episode at a friend's house once, I'm pretty sure it was SBTB.

I probably would have watched it but we didn't get it on our channels :( .

Ya, you hick people were so outta touch with everything. You actually had to use your imaginations!!

Saved By the Bell was great, and I have to admit, I STILL love the original power rangers.

Man spookz, I really hated Kelly, so of course I enjoyed that fanfic

Ahh, nostalgia. T-NBC was mercifully euthanized this year, and for good reason- all those shows were sooooo bad. But hey- we all need a little cheese-factor in our lives, eh?
And yes, the image of high school his horribly inaccurate. "Freaks and Geeks" was a better example, but alas, NBC wasn't ready for the change...

Oh, man, Spookz, all I saw was text. I couldn't see what the actual web page looked like. Yeah, I liked "SBTB" as a kid too. I thought Jessi was a cool character coz she was attractive, genuine, sweet, and intellegent. I heard that "Screech" turned up on a "Date with a Celebrity" show. Yikes! Hope he changed his hair. Hehe. :) J/k.

Screech tried to be in a horrible band that sold tickets at a college here for something like 2 bucks. A few years later he showed up as a stand up comedian act (also costed 2 bucks), who had quite the potty mouth, and could only bitch about Saved By The Bell. All the other actors/actresses grew up and got various rolls, but apparently Screech typecasted himself for life.

Poooooooor Screech :(

Hehe, I would pay to see Screech bitchin'. So what did he say? "Kelly's a bitch" right?? Okay, maybe that's just wishful thinking, but the girl does have something Shannon Doherty-ish about her.

What the heck is wrong with my Shannon??????

I used to secretly watch kids shows when I was a kid. I pretended not to like 'em though. I never had a real childhood.

I used to watch Power Rangers too, but I always knew it was shit. Just send more than one bloody monster at once, or make it grow early and tread on them. or take over another part of the world. Sod it.
