First post on here, seems an interesting board. Anyways, I have been studying Sartre and I read that in his later Critique of Dialectical Reason he stopped promoting his previous notion of freedom, stating that we aren't as free as he had hitherto believe. I haven't been able to find the book yet, and I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this topic for me. thanks.
I thought that Sartre leaned more to abandoning the idea of freedom in his later works, not towards thinking we are less free? That the concept of freedom was simply flawed.
I haven't read nearly as much as I should by him, though.

see, i'm not really sure if he abandons it, or if he feels we are less free. i'm gonna keep looking into it though. i need to review what i read again, but from what i read (which was just another author writing about his philosophy) it sounded like his idea of facticity and what was categorized under facticity was extended, if that makes any sense.
