Most programs have a sandbox part, where users can experiment with the program before really start to use it.

I personally like to see my long posts and edit them when I see how they look. Usually in the Formal debate section.
If there was a place where we could pre-post them without others actually seeing it, that would be the sandbox of Sciforums. The whole point is here that you can edit it as much as you want it before perfecting and posting it.

If I do that in a thread which is active people can start to respond to it before it is really done as intended, causing missunderstandings, etc.

Anyhow, maybe there is already a place like that I just haven't found it...

(I had contemplated getting a screen grab that included this image, but I trust my point is made?

I seriously don't mean this as an insult, but I'm just amazed that you haven't hit the ``go advanced'' button even once out of curiosity in 8800 posts.

I know, I was surprized too!!

Well, for a quick response you don't need it, and it has been a while I debated. I might have hit it a few years back but I didn't realize what it was good for or I didn't need it back then and I forgot about it.
