Who here has tried it? I am curious about it, and really interested in trying it, and I want to make the best of my first experience.

For my first experience, should I go with plain leaf, or an extract? I would naturally think I should go plain leaf and then work my way up if I need to, but I've heard there's a sort of reverse tolerance, and I know a lot of people who get no effect from plain leaf.

Also, I found this site that seems to offer free samples. http://justsayonce.g2gm.com/ Is this site trustworthy? Have any of you gotten free samples from them, and if so, was it worth it, or should I just go to a head shop and buy it at a possibly expensive price?

I've received both from Iamshaman.com (purchased) and mothergeckobotanicals (won in a contest.) While it may seem all 10x extracts will have the same potency, it all depends on the manufactured quality. I advise Iamshaman, (over sagewisdom too)

If you're experienced in other psychadelics and understand how you react in these situations going for an extract is safe. If this you're a first timer I would work your way up, smoke weed first for sure

As for the experience, all times wereintense. I'm not sure they were productive or benificial however. They were so intense I'm not sure I took much away from the experiences except bewliderment

If you are interested in using the drug for education and spiritual matters than I say go for it. As a substitute for alcohol and getting fucked up, than no way jose

Ill be happy to answer q's

There are like 3 or 4 threads on salvia here.

If the experience is of no benefit how can it be considered educational or spiritual?

I don't think I want to try extract. After thinking about it, I realized that I tend to have a pretty low tolerance to most drugs (legal drugs - alcohol, nicotine, medicine).

I've never used any psychedelics. Thus, I think I would like to start off with just a level 1 experience (I'm assuming you are familiar with the SALVIA scale), just to familiarize myself with the whole feeling. Then I can work up to a level 2, and then 3. I may go all the way to 4, but I definitely don't want that on my first trip.

Is it pretty easy to control what level experience you get, using plain leaf? Because basically the only thing I'm afraid of is going way to deep in on my first try. That's one reason I want to avoid extracts.

The reason I want to try it isn't just to get fucked up. It just intrigues me that a person's reality can completely shift in this way, and the whole concept is so foreign to my mind, that I feel I want to experience it. I've always been a very realistic and concrete kind of person, I think it would be really interesting to know what is possible in the realms of my own perception.

Another thing. The last time I tried :m: I was way too nervous, and it ended up being a terrible experience (extreme paranoia, tachycardia, slight nausea, muscle twitches, etc). I think that would be a really bad way to do salvia, considering the nature of it. Any advice on how not to panic midway through?

One more thing. On iamshaman.com, it appears I can buy a whole ounce of leaf for $8, but on sagewisdom, an ounce costs $125!! Why the price difference? No way I'm spending more than $20 on it.

if salvia is anything like weed, then leaf has almost no potency compared to bud, and that $125 ounce is bud rather than leaf. if prices here are comparable to canada however, then it is certainly worth it cosidering a good ounce of weed will cost you about $250-$350 on the mainland.
