A sad announcement this week from Seattle band Gruntruck: There's not much to say. McMillan sang with legendary drummer Matt Cameron (Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Wellwater Conspiracy, &c.) at his back, and, later, Jason Finn (Presidents of the United States of America). The legendary Nirvana played their first gig opening for Skin Yard. While never achieving the kind of fame some of his friends and associates did, McMillan has always been well respected by those familiar with the famed Seattle "grunge" scene. He will be missed, and kindly remembered. Raise a glass, and turn up the f@ckin' volume.
