View Full Version : Sadams "Last chance?" yeah right

Britain and the US yesterday gave Saddam his "Last chance" saying he had a way out and all he had to do was comply with 6 demands.
At first I though ok, so there really trying something diplomatic! *shock*.
After reading the first 2 demands I realised it was another ridiculous "Flying in your face" piece of political BS.

Demand 1: Admit on TV that he has all the WMD America decides to accuse it of having, this broadcast must be done in Iraq also and init he must show he has begun to destroy / surrender them and promise to co-operate.

So given America Can't prove he even has them, he denies it and is co-operating with inspections (To an extent) and they as well as all the evidence so far suggests, that he doesn't have half of what America accuses him of having, how is he supposed to comply with this demand.
Even if he does we all know it will be jumped upon as a chance to either attack him or do worse to him and his country later.
I though the methods of forcing someone to commit to a crime you couldn't prove was illegal....

Demand 2
Agree to destroy all missiles per-scribed by the UN.
This not only includes the al-salmonds that he is destroying (And the US accuses him of making more as he destroys them) but others they also can't prove he even has and again we know that even if he does they will simply accuse him of having more or "Playing games"

Demand 3
Agree to surrender all mobile Bio-Construction facilities for destruction
Again even the American Intelligence (Oxymoron?) and UN weapons inspectors have dismissed the claims he has these as even if he did move them about traces of chemicals and Radiation would have shown up in their tests especially as GWB Claims that they are often moves just before they get there.

Demand 4
Surrender all stocks of Anthrax and explain why they were kept
Again no proof he even has them to turn over and will probably be used to incriminate him if he does (What else is he hiding, there’s more than this!).
Also given he probably doesn't have the ability to produce new stocks the stocks from the last gulf war are well out of date I think. I need to re-check the shelf life of anthrax.

Demand 5
Allow Iraqi scientists to be interviews outside the country
I thought they already had promised this and several had.....

Demand 6
Account for unmanned and remotely piloted vehicles.
The one drone that is being bandied about now as the smoking gun was actually in Iraq’s initial Declaration, the only reason it was not recognised by inspectors at first was because of a "typo" Iraq claims.
That the submitted claim was a wingspan of 14.5ft by mistake instead of 24.5ft.
Not to mention this "Smoking gun" is made of balsa wood, powered by a "weed whacker" engine, and held together by duct tape and elastic bands.....
It’s also not against the UN restrictions because it is a prototype that has not gone into production for exactly these reasons.

So all in all this "last chance" is nothing more than another bs claim by the US and UK to try to show they are "open to a peaceful resolution" despite knowing what they offer is actually just another ridiculous piece of political posturing that even if he does comply with, will simply lead to further accusations and a stronger drive to war.

it is just stupid bs....how can he admit he has wmd to america, with seriosly beliving they wont decide that this is a good enough reason to go to war with him, even though he is doing what they say will get him out of a conflict.

i used to support a war, untill i saw the evidence (or lack of it), its not the way things should be done, why bush is in presedency is anyones guess, its like puting a pedo in a nursery...wtf do you expect will happen, when you put an obviosly insane man incharge of the worlds most powerful army?...you get an insane man doing enything and everything for a war that has no basis other than that that he has made up himself!

Funny you should say that aparently at one point he was accused of soliciting an underage girl (Express - Friday) and an alcholic.

As for the BS of course it is.
Just another example of "GWB" playing games and expecting us to suspend all common sense and belive the bs he's feeding us.

http://www.wsws.org/articles/2003/mar2003/sixp-m14.shtml

Just got a few mins to sit down and read the news and my usual wsws (Not impartial i know) but they did a better write up than me.

The fact GWB has to Falsify evidence and plagarise old information to try and justify a war and even then do such a bad job of it not only the UN Inspectors but even his own intellegence agents feel so embarased they have to contradict him to protect their own reputation and belivability....
To go to such lengths to force his country into an illegal war using such tactics that garantee large scale civilian casualties is a war crime of incredable pro-portions.

As for how did he get into office.
As the rest of his term, his actions and that of most of his helpers, even prior to his election, Illegaly.
I'm sure there are entire posts about the "Theft" of the 2000 elections and the first shots into the corpse of "Democracy".

Such a lack of imagination. If I were the head Bushevik (and I wonder who that is), holding Middle eEast stability and America's future hostage, these would be our demands:

1. Saddam must be clean-shaven, dressed as a drag queen.

2. Weapons, schmeapons- everybody's got them these days- who are we trying to kid here, anyway: Just don't mess with us

3. Saddam is left at the Iran-Iraq War memorial in Baghdad, without any security, at high noon. Live coverage for the world to see.

4. UN peacekeepers with as many Arab-country participants as possible soften the breakup of Iraq (as best as possible).
5. Iraqi Shia, Sunni, Kurds work out government(s) and nationalize oil, contracts to lowest bidders in free and open market.

6. No other demands.

i actualy think america should try 'buying back' the wmd, for like billions.....if iraq said no (likley) then america would have better grounds for a war than they do at the moment!

If Saddam goes on TV and says what US and Britain request. He is a dead sausage!
Immediately after his TV message, US and the “ willing to be” will march towards Baghdad accusing Saddam of “false pretensions” in a world TV network confirming that UN too was a conspirator all the way.
:p
