Here in HongKong, at least 21 people were killed and 20 injured 2 days before when a bus packed with commuters ran off a highway and plunged down a steep slope after a crash with a lorry. It is Hong Kong's worst-ever traffic accident in history.
14 techers died in this accident.

I feel sad these days and wonder why the good people die young ( eg those medical/healthcare people in sars, and this time many outstanding teachers ...) while the bad people grab the only food from the poor people , and they live long life and they even get rich!

I think God is not that fair sometimes..... can anyone answer my feeling? I really feel sorry for the above news and the families involved. God bless them. May they rest in peace......Amen. :m:

God's been dead for at least a century

    20th Century Casualties

That's how many people that didn't have to die. One is too many.

It's called human nature. Because I'm so damn young, naive, and impressionable, I'll say that I haven't quite lost hope yet. Everywhere you look people are being oppressed by the wealthy, by the tyrannical. Since before civilization, since before Homo Sapiens, it's been like this. How can it be stopped?

Be aware. Get organized against issues you feel are unfair, and issues others feel are unfair. Follow the Golden Rule. If someone needs help, and you can help them, help them out. It's that simple.

I loved because i thought it mattered, i fought because i loved, i cried because i was pushed, when push came to shove for my love i shoved. May my love bare my efforts forvere more on it's name and it's soul...may my love, love me forever and evermore

How can what be stopped? People dying? :bugeye:
Which part of your brain are you using and why aren't you using the rest of it?
No where near enough people are dying in reality. We still live on earth and for a species to survive on earth many of its individuals have to die prematurely. Ideally they would be dying due to their shortcomings, I agree that it is unfortunate that perfectly competent human beings needlessly die all the time but we let so many rejects live and breed that it has to be balanced out somehow.

There's nothing we can really do about it, people die for all sorts of reasons, its not that big of a deal in the big scheme of things. Lots of antelopes die every year also but they pull through without whining don't they? There are still antelopes and there are still people.

In fact if more people were dying the human race would have a far greater chance of surviving for much much longer. That doesn't concern you? Well what does exactly? People you don't know are people you don't know whether they are from the past the present or the future.

Just say people alive now would make people suffer in the future, by not dying, would you kill the now people or make the future people suffer?
Well if pollux's list never happened I guarantee we would all be suffering now.

The animals are suffering now thanks to how many people are not dying, they are like the canaries in the coal mine, future human beings are going to feel the nasty side affects of our so called "good intentions" and it won't be pretty.

    Agreed

Civilization is a greedy, selfish concept. It should be brought down.

It is sad. Life is sad. People die all the time, some in more horrible ways than others. Life is unfair, and it doesn't always make sense. But we keep going. Somehow we manage to get through it. . .

    Counsler,

I wasn't referring to stopping people from dying. I was talking about stopping people from dying needlessly.

I don't know why everybody insist that life is so terrible.

All I need to do is go and sit a while in a forrest to know that it's pretty spectacular and wonderfull with endless possibilities.

People die, sometimes horribly and seemingly needlessly.. Who knows if there is a supreme purpouse? In this context I doubt it, but all I know is that shit happens, people die and frankly there isn't much we can do about it. So there isn't much point in moping arround because it won't help in any way, guaranteed. Much better to appretiate life for all the wonderfull things it is, and make the best of the time you have been blessed with and the gifts given unto you.

Stop whining and get over it, people die and thats the end of it!
