Help solve a dispute i was having with some friends. out of the choices given, who was the funniest SNL cast member? Adam Sandler, Dan Ackroyd, Chris Farley, or Dana Carvey?

i think adam sandler is easier to relate to, put dana carvey is better at what he does... but i still like sandler better, so i voted for him. plus, i dont have damn clue who dan acroyd is, and chris farley was down right annoying as hell.

I concur Nightfall, Sandler was who i was arguing for. Dan Ackroyd was an original cast member. ever seen coneheads? He was The guy conehead. Farley was funny sometimes...like in tommy boy.

I chose Dana Carvey because of The Pepper Boy sketch.

David Spade was funny but he always came off as a major asshole. Maybe it was intentional.

I'd go for Ackroyd, the Wild and Crazy Guy skits were awesome.

was david spade on snl?

yeah, he was. at the same time as chris farley and eddie murphy and adam sandler. Spade is hillarious.

"and you are...?"

I found Dana Carvey the funniest...Hes was in the Wayne's World, Church Lady, and Hans And Franz skits.

Carvey. Probably the best impressionist the show has ever had. Though, and I say this as much as the show is now in a downfall, Darrel Hammond is quite good.

Chris Farely, may he rest in peace

I loved Beverly Hills Ninja and his role in Waynes World

Dana Carvey, yeah. Chris Farley was overused I think, as the "Hi, I'm fat and stupid" guy who freaked out a lot. Adam Sandler ... I've seen those interviews with him on talk shows like Leno, and he's ok. He on the border. And I haven't seen anything with Dan Ackroyd except the bit with the Coneheads, and that was kind of funny.

"Mmmmm...chicken embryos..." :D

David Spade was like the small obnoxious guy, hehe. However, I am appalled that no one has mentioned Phil Hartman! If he was as good as he was on Newsradio, then my vote would go wholeheartedly to Phil Hartman ... but for now I vote for Dana Carvey. :)

You know you're getting old when nobody remembers "The Blues Brothers" anymore.

Those movies were awesome! Even Blues Brothers 2000 with John Goodman was good!
