I would have no problem with it being locked if it were not for the blatant hypocrisy given the extreme aggressive nature of the other thread.

For some reason, I can't really form an ' on topic' opinion to your question-- in that the question being asked is from a user who was already banned. In my eyes, this overpowering issue needs to be resolved prior to examining any "comparative ethical justifications".

It's kinda like the people who are released from prison, then complain about how unfair it is when nobody will hire them.

My point wasn't really an analysis of the crime itself. I was merely pointing out that the 'convicted felon' status is overpowering everything else in hierarchy (when considering the complaint is 'being unfairly hassled by the man')

Convicted felons are allowed to work, but companies are not obligated to overlook the person's past when considering hiring the person.

Hey Xev, creative fossil made a weird little video while you were gone which depicted herself defecating on you and a 9 inch nails cd. It was just like a still image of yourself and another still image of a 9 inch nails cd doctored into some footage of her shitting outside.
But the message was clear, it looked like she was laying a dark one on you and some scandinavian metal noobs came along and thought it was for real and left with the impression that xev was the kind of chick who gets dumped on by ginga airheads.
I tried to convince them otherwise but they just kept saying "I know what I saw" and they left forever.
