If people don't know by now that Rumsfeld, Cheney and Bush have lied blatantly to the American public, and are continuing to do so, about the most important things in our history, then they don't want to know and will not accept it no matter how much proof is shoved in front of their faces. nobody is saying that Saddam was a nice guy, or a good ruler, he wasn't. the matter at hand is the fact that the administration lied to us about why they wanted to go to war. Saddam was not a "eminent threat" to the united states.

I, personally, think it was good to get him out of power. and that the war will help the region in the long run. however, it was illegal according to international law, and will cost unknown billions before its over.

one more thing: before you go pointing fingers about torture.... need i say more?

OliverJ it is my oppinion that before your bitch and moan about others you should check your own history first, making sure your door steep is clean. For the USofA it is not.

As for the camparison you made about starving people and golden palaces, well guess what that to is present in USA, as the USA got everything from multi million dollar players to slaveworkers hell you even got slaveworker camps i think you call them prisons ower there.

Do a little reasearch, the tapes do exist, and they are being translated, and to find the information just Google ( wmd saddam tapes russia syria ) do some reading, educate yourself about the subject then respond from knowledge, not bias.

The bias is in the translation and let's hope they're authentic. Previous translations have been altered before by us. Heck, just the other day during the meeting between Bush and the Chinese President, some Chinese lady yelled out something (which I forget the exact words) along the lines of Bush doing something bad to the Chinese, only to have it mistranslated as her yelling out a threat against the Chinese president and so she was taken care of.

Also to note, the whole "Iraq's WMD to Syria" story seems to have been first started by a 16 year old, now 19 years old, who was later hired as a geopolitical analyst and runs worldthreats.com. This wouldn't be the first time something like this has happened.
