Ron Paul dominates another debate! http://infowars.net/articles/october2007/111007Paul.htm That's all I have to sayPlease Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Vote Ron Paul!!!! Highlights of the debate. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TgNL...owars.net/articles/october2007/111007Paul.htm Ok, now that's all I have to say.
Not much. Outside of the US (like here in the UK) all we hear about is Gulliani, Hillary, Obama and Thompson edit:and Rommey. Yet this guys name keeps popping up (on the internet a lot).
Well, that's pretty much it. When you say "all you hear about" is so and so, I would have to assume that you are taking most of your information from mainstream media. Those currently running this country do NOT want this man to be noticed. The media is severely biased, filtered and driven by a larger agenda unfortunately. If you can, spend a few minutes looking into him, google him etc. He's a great man. Peace.
Mainstream media doesn't give him much attention, as you can tell by the paltry amount of time they gave him in the last debate. Which is ridiculous considering he drew in 5 millions dollars for the last fundraising quarter, practically matching McCain and putting him right behind the Republican front runners in terms of money. Admittedly, the 5 million is recent news and he has been getting more TV spots and shout outs because of it. Hopefully that's a trend that will continue.
Ron Paul and Mike Gravel were my two favourite candidates. They have the intellectual chops and common sense you dont find among the 'marketing executives' who are running.
Ron Paul raised $5 million in the 3rd quarter proving he's not just the internet, he raised almost as much as John McCain and is the ONLY candidate to have growth in the 3rd quarter
If you look into his ideas, you'll see he wants to disband the UN, Social Security, basically that government should have a much more limited role. It's quite radical.
Heh, not just any growth; he got an increase of 114 percent from the previous quarter which is fucking ridiculous.
I could be wrong, but I think his position is more leave the UN rather than disband it. Whether or not disbanding is a result of that is a different issue. The reason for this is he's a firm believer in a non-interventionist foreign policy; he doesn't believe that US troops should be used to impose UN sanctions.
Its only radical today, its the constitutional position...thats what Ron Paul is for, which today it has become "radical" to follow the constitution
I find it interesting that he has raised more money from soldier donations that the other GOP candidates. I really think I'm looking at the man I'll be voting for.
I hope he gets the Republican nomination. Maybe he has a chance, I don't think people are enthused about the Giuliani prospect. I would strongly consider voting for him over Hillary, though I'd have to check all my facts. My question for Paul supporters is, what does Paul think about monopolies? There are some worrisome areas where some people have virtual monopolies. Like, I think he thinks that if he removes the government from health care it would lead to lower prices, but that kind of makes me balk. I think they would just gouge like never before...
Well, whats your problem with monopolies? Monopolies still exist today and always will exist.... As for healthcare, more government involvement has caused healthcare prices to continously go up, higher and higher, if the government didn't get involved healthcare prices would likely decrease simply because of the free market system and immense competition. Just think of all the competition there will be with no more government involvement, prices will be lowered as low as they can possibly get. Take for instance something like Lasik surgery, which has no government involvement and works just by the free market, in 1998 when Lasik surgery first came out it costed approx. $2200/per eye, now it costs as low as $299 per eye, thats $1900 less! Thats a fine example of how the free market system naturally lowers prices in such a short duration of time (its only been 9 years).
In addition to the points VitalOne made, it's important to remember that some monopolies are propped/supported by our government. Paul would absolutely work to reduce corporate welfare in the US.
